Fast-food companies are suffering backlash from customers as a result of increased pricing, and as a result, several of them are focused on making their meals more affordable by introducing meal deals. Burger King is the most recent competitor to enter the value wars in the fast food industry.
Just a few weeks after making the announcement that it will be bringing back its limited-time $5 Your Way Meal deal, the restaurant that famously introduced the Whopper finally brought it back on June 10.
The chain has not disclosed a certain date by which the promotion will be terminated; nevertheless, it will be available at participating locations throughout the entire summer.
A Whopper Jr. (330 calories), Chicken Jr. (440 calories), or bacon cheeseburger (340 calories) is included in the $5 Your Way Meal. Additionally, a four-piece order of chicken nuggets (190 calories), french fries (300 calories per small order), and a soft drink are included in the meal. The price of all of this food is only $5.
After three quarters of dominating the industry in value traffic, Burger King is increasing the rates at which it offers value-based promotions. As was previously communicated to Eat This, Not That! by a spokesman, we are reintroducing our $5 “Your Way Meal” in accordance with the agreement that we reached with our franchisees in April.
A similar offer that McDonald’s announced just a few weeks ago will be directly challenged by the return of this new value meal, which will be a direct threat to the arrangement. CNBC reports that the latter will be available for purchase on June 25 and will be available for a shorter amount of time—roughly one month—after its first release.
As a result of the fact that Burger King’s offer is available for an even longer period of time, it is in a position to gain popularity among customers.
A choice of a McChicken (400 calories) or a McDouble (400 calories) is included in the McDonald’s offer. Additionally, a drink is included, along with four pieces of Chicken McNuggets (which contain 170 calories), fries (which have 230 calories per small order), and a drink.
In addition to the $5 Your Way Meal, there are a number of other discounts that are currently offered at fast-food restaurants. Recently, in the month of May, Wendy’s introduced a new breakfast value menu that begins at $3. A small order of Seasoned Potatoes (280 calories) and a choice of either a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese English Muffin (380 calories) or a Sausage, Egg, and Cheese English Muffin (540 calories) are included in the offer.
In other developments pertaining to Burger King, the fast-food company is now conducting the testing of a new line of Flame-Grilled Chicken Sandwiches and Wraps in the markets of Omaha, Nebraska, and Huntsville, Alabama.
