Goldfish Are Now . . . a Potato Chip?!

Millions of lunch boxes around the United States contain Goldfish crackers, the most recognizable brand in the world. Nevertheless, a brand-new product is due to be released by the corporation that will completely change your perspective on Goldfish.

Goldfish Crisps are the company’s latest innovation, and they’re veering significantly from their traditional cheesy crackers. Since Goldfish has never sold a snack made of potatoes before, this is a huge move for the company.

Similar to the beloved Goldfish crackers, these chips are baked rather than fried, which is a small departure from a traditional potato chip. Plus, instead of the usual round or oval potato chip shapes, they come in iconic fish shapes.

Sour Cream & Onion, Cheddar, and Salt & Vinegar are the new crisp tastes, but regular potato chip enthusiasts will recognize them immediately.

These new baked goodies will be available for purchase on the Walmart website beginning on December 15th. After that, Goldfish Crisps will be available at stores around the country beginning in January. The suggested retail price for the snacks is $4.79, however, as is customary, actual costs may vary from store to store.

Goldfish will join the ranks of other prominent snack brands venturing into uncharted territory in 2023 with the introduction of its new flavored chips.

Kraft, for instance, made history late last month when it said it would be releasing a vegan macaroni and cheese. The two varieties of dairy-free macaroni and cheese, Original and White Cheddar, will be available at stores beginning in the current year and continuing throughout the new one.

Philadelphia, a well-known cream cheese company, also began selling its first plant-based spread worldwide after a successful regional test in the Southeast. You can choose from Original, Strawberry, or Chive and Onion spreads.

Despite being known for their traditional peanut butter cups, even Reese’s has dared to be creative this year. The brand’s new Big Cups, released last month, are bigger than the originals and have a layer of gooey caramel hidden beneath the peanut butter filling.
