The fast-food giant announced today through a press release the introduction of new Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries and the reintroduction of the popular Ghost Pepper Whopper.
Beginning October 12 at some locations and subject to availability, customers can order the extremely hot Whopper, featuring Burger King’s famous flame-grilled beef patty, bacon, crispy jalapeños, spicy queso, and ghost pepper cheese.
The formidable burger is served on a toasted orange bread adorned with black sesame, distinguishing it from the standard Whopper and preventing accidental consumption of this fiery meal. It also serves as an enjoyable reference to the eerie Halloween season.
The Ghost Pepper Whopper initially launched as a limited-time menu item last autumn, whereas the Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries represent a novel addition. Burger King has already introduced Fiery Nuggets, but the latest iteration of the spicy chicken fries elevates the experience significantly.
Each ‘fried’ consists of white flesh chicken that is delicately breaded and seasoned with ghost pepper flavor. You can get four, eight, or twelve pieces, along by your selection of dipping sauce.
The introduction of these products follows a vote by Burger King Royal Perk members regarding their preferred Ghost Pepper menu item for the brand’s premiere.
In the press release, Pat O’Toole, Chief Marketing Officer of Burger King North America, stated, “Earlier this year, we inquired of Guests whether we should reintroduce the Ghost Pepper Whopper or launch Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries.”
The findings were divided; therefore, we are incorporating both products on our menus worldwide this Halloween season, providing Guests with various options to savor the ideal blend of flavor and heat.
“We are thrilled to offer fans a novel method to savor our signature Chicken Fries and reintroduce the Ghost Pepper Whopper, featuring a striking orange bun created with paprika, demonstrating that remarkable innovations can coexist with quality and flavor,” O’Toole stated.
