Burger King’s New Side Is a Combo of Two Customer Favorites

Visiting a fast-food establishment for a swift meal is simple, although selecting from the array of delectable sides available can prove to be a more challenging endeavor. Fortunately, Burger King’s latest side alleviates the dilemma of choice.

The burger corporation is introducing an innovative side that merges its iconic fries with traditional onion rings into a singular hybrid product. The item, referred to by Burger King as “Have-sies,” will be available on menus starting October 12 at participating locations around the country.

Customers will have the option to order the side in value, small, medium, and large versions upon its launch next week. Burger King is promoting the Have-sies as an additional method for patrons to “construct the ideal combo meal to accommodate their preferences and fulfill their cravings.”

Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer at Burger King North America, stated, “Burger King emphasizes allowing Guests to ‘have it their way,’ and although the flame-grilled Whopper sandwich frequently takes center stage, this also encompasses side options when selecting combo meals.”

“We recognize that Guests appreciate our unique onion rings, yet relinquishing the traditional French fry is challenging; thus, we are pleased to provide both options in authentic BK style.”

The new hybrid may appear familiar as Burger King had tested it in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, earlier this year, under the name “Fries N’ Rings” rather than Have-sies. When the item is introduced on menus next week, it will be the inaugural national offering of the fries and onion rings combination by Burger King.

The imminent introduction of the new product is only the most recent thrilling announcement from Burger King in recent days. This week, the company announced the return of its beloved Ghost Pepper Whopper on October 12.

The spicy Whopper, first launched last year, includes Burger King’s distinctive flame-grilled beef burger, bacon, crunchy jalapeños, hot queso, and ghost pepper cheese. In recognition of the imminent Halloween festival, it has a striking toasted orange bun adorned with black sesame seeds.

Burger King will introduce a new hot food, Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries, on October 12, in addition to the returning Whopper.

Burger King had previously introduced other iterations of its original Chicken Fries, such as Spicy Chicken Fries and Chicken & Waffle Fries; nonetheless, this is the inaugural introduction of ghost pepper heat to this popular chicken product.
