Cheetos Is Bringing Back a Super-Popular Flavor Due to Fan Demand

One of the most beloved Cheetos flavors is making a triumphant return to supermarket shelves after an extended absence of many years. After much fan demand—and even a petition calling for its return—Cheetos’ Salsa con Queso flavor is back in stock as of yesterday.

It has been four years since these Cheetos were in stock again. The spicy snack takes its cues from the popular salsa dish and is characterized by a blend of cheddar cheese, acidic tomato, chili peppers, and a “hint” of lime. You can get this item for $5.89 in retailers all throughout the country currently.

This cheese-flavored snack may or may not be available for an extended period of time; however, the manufacturer has made that information public.

As part of their Deja tu Huella (“Leave Your Mark”) campaign, which celebrates Hispanic community heroes, Cheetos is releasing Salsa with Queso. Scanning the QR code on every bag of Cheetos will enter buyers to be the next Deja tu Huella Ambassador beginning on June 17.

According to Cheetos, the Huella Ambassadors are individuals who are following their passions and using their skills in areas such as STEM, education, music, and the arts to create a better world in their local community.

A grant of $25,000 will be awarded to the chosen ambassador to support their endeavor. The grand prize winner will also get the opportunity to assist Cheetos in expanding their platform’s reach by accompanying them on the Cheetos Community College Tour and the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Week.

Cheetos offer a wide variety of spicy snacks, including Salsa con Queso. Multiple Cheetos varieties are part of the Flamin’ Hot snack range from this company, which also includes XXtra Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Flamin’ Hot Limón Cheetos, and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.

Spicy snack options have expanded beyond the reintroduced Cheetos flavor. Doritos and Mountain Dew debuted their Baja Fiery Mango flavor together in April. In honor of the 20th anniversary of Baja Blast, the distinctive turquoise beverage from Taco Bell, the food chain launched this limited-edition chip.
