McDonald’s Is Launching a First-Of-Its-Kind Dipping Sauce

Famous for its sauces, McDonald’s is expanding its menu with yet another highly sought-after flavor. Beginning on Tuesday, June 9, McDonald’s menus nationwide will feature a new savory dipping sauce.

The popular anime and manga series Jujutsu Kaisen has officially established an exclusive collaboration with the brand. There will be a first-ever garlic sauce at McDonald’s in the US, and the two businesses are debuting it together.

For a limited time only, use the McDonald’s app to get your hands on the Special Grade Garlic Sauce. Any order of Chicken McNuggets or any other item on the menu can have it for free.

The Special Grade Garlic Sauce takes its flavor cues from the Black Garlic Sauce from McDonald’s Japan and adds a touch of sweetness, tang, and soy sauce.

Eight distinct lid patterns will adorn the packets of the one-of-a-kind condiment. The potent Sukuna and the second-grade student-turned-genius-sorcerer Megumi Fushiguro are just two of the beloved characters from Jujutsu Kaisen that will appear in each sauce. Unsurprisingly, narrative enthusiasts may start collecting the unopened condiment packs.

Where does this limited-edition sauce stand in comparison to other American fan favorites, such as Spicy Buffalo Sauce and the cherished Tangy Barbecue Sauce from McDonald’s? Our anticipation is high.

When customers buy Special Grade Garlic Sauce using the McDonald’s app, they can also get a 30-day free trial of Crunchyroll, a platform for streaming anime and games.

McDonald’s fans are already bracing for a huge summer. The much-anticipated Five Dollar Meal Deal made its triumphant return to franchises on June 25, putting an end to much doubt. For for $5, you can buy a combo meal that includes your pick of a McChicken or McDouble, four pieces of chicken McNuggets, fries, and a drink.

As an additional frozen treat option, the mega-chain is experimenting with scoopable ice cream in some regions. This is perfect for those times when the soft serve machine is malfunctioning, which is seemingly always.

Plus, you can choose between two delicious flavors—Strawberry Scoop and Choco Scoop—of these frozen sweets, and they’re all-natural. It’s always great to see a surprise for the plant-based folks, especially because McDonald’s is known for having very few vegan options.
