Choco Scoop (94 calories) and Strawberry Scoop (88 calories) are the two new vegan options to choose from. Both frozen delights are described on McDonald’s website as “deliciously smooth and creamy” and are served in tubs without toppings.
However, at the moment, American lovers will have to wait since McDonald’s is only releasing Vegan Scoops in limited markets in the UK for testing purposes. Meanwhile, they can hope that McDonald’s will bring the frozen delicacies to the US at some point.
The new ice creams are now available in several parts of the United Kingdom, including Manchester, Rochdale, Ardwick, Bury, and Denton. The Vegan Scoops have just begun to gain traction online.
Reddit user “I’ve been known for having low standards when it comes to food I can actually eat, but I was so impressed!” raved about the product. In their review, the Reddit user gushed about how the frozen treat is “really creamy” and a “cross between soft serve and regular ice cream.”
Reddit user xxxx also thought the Choco Scoop was delicious, describing it as having “tasted like a cold chocolate mousse but was very tasty.” Vegan Scoops are available in some McDonald’s restaurants in the UK; interested customers may find a complete list of these restaurants on the McDonald’s website.
In spite of the fact that the Vegan Scoops test launch was not made accessible to customers in the United States, McDonald’s is still offering a new frozen treat for customers to try over the summer. In this month, the restaurant introduced a Grandma McFlurry that contains 600 calories.
Butterscotch syrup, crumbles, and creamy vanilla soft serve are all included in the package. “Grandma’s favorite treat that she hid in her purse,” according to a news release issued by McDonald’s, is the inspiration behind the flavors.
A new $5 value meal is supposedly going to be introduced by McDonald’s on June 25, following a deluge of price complaints in recent months.
According to an anonymous source who spoke with CNBC, the bundle will come with four pieces of Chicken McNuggets, which have 170 calories each, some fries that have 230 calories each small order, a drink, and the client gets to choose between a McChicken and a McDouble, both of which have 400 calories.
