Is it pizza or burgers? With the return of a mashup menu item that customers have come to appreciate, Papa John’s is saving their customers the pain of having to choose between the two.
Yes, you read that correctly! The Cheesy Burger Pizza, a fan favorite at Papa John’s, has been officially reinstated to the menu as of the 10th of June. The Double Cheeseburger Pizza, which is a popular item at the company, has been given a new and improved version in this pie.
The item was initially presented by Papa John’s in the year 2014, and since then, it has managed to garner a significant number of customers. According to a press release issued by the pizza business, it is the item on its menu that has had the most requests, and more than 500,000 customers have pleaded for its return.
Kimberly Bean, vice president of integrated marketing and menu strategy at Papa Johns, said in a statement that the Cheesy Burger Pizza has been a fan favorite for more than a decade. Fans have expressed their desire to have it back by sending in an unending number of comments, tweets, and phone calls, pleading for it to be brought back.
While other restaurants are competing with the burger, we are putting pizza first and staying true to our pledge by providing our customers with precisely what they want, which is pizza.
The comments made by Bean appear to be directed at Pizza Hut’s brand-new Cheeseburger Melt, which was introduced in the middle of October.
The handheld meal does not have many of the traditional components of pizza, which include meat, bacon, onions, mozzarella, and cheddar cheeses that are wrapped inside of a thin crust that is topped with parmesan. In addition, it comes with a side of burger sauce on the side.
In the meanwhile, Papa John’s is bringing back their Cheesy Burger Pizza, which is made with fresh dough and covered with a distinctive burger sauce, beef, tomato, dill pickle, and cheese. It is served with a cup of Papa John’s Special Garlic Sauce on the side. In spite of the fact that the toppings are not conventional, the item that is being brought back is, in all intents and purposes, still a pizza.
In addition to the pie, Papa John’s has also brought back its Cheesy Burger Papadia, which is a sandwich made in the shape of a flatbread and stuffed with beef, pickles, chopped tomatoes, cheese, and burger sauce.
Additionally, the restaurant has recently debuted brand-new Cheesy Burger Papa Bites, which are pockets of fresh dough that are loaded with beef, bacon, dill pickles, burger sauce, and cheese.
On June 10, members of Papa Rewards will be able to place orders for all three dishes that are inspired by burgers. Beginning on June 13, this product will be available to all other clients around the country.
The suggested retail prices for the Cheesy Burger Papadia and Papa Bites are $6.99 and $4.99, respectively, and they will be available for purchase. Papa John’s is offering the Cheesy Burger Pizza for a discounted price of ten dollars for the first five hundred thousand orders.
