Starbucks Just Released a Minty New Holiday Drink

Starbucks customers have even more cause to rejoice this winter. A new festive beverage option, the Merry Mint White Mocha, joins the coffee chain’s already extensive holiday beverage menu that was unveiled in November.

Espresso, white chocolate sauce, milk, and ice are the foundational ingredients of this new iced drink, which is only available at Starbucks for a short period. Finally, peppermint chocolate cream cold foam and chocolate curls are sprinkled on top to satisfy winter cravings for chocolate peppermint flavor. Only through the Starbucks app can you purchase the new drink.

A new addition to any cold drink at Starbucks is the Peppermint Chocolate Cream Cold Foam. A combination of chocolate malt powder, peppermint syrup, and the chain’s vanilla sweet cream makes up the topping.

Last month, in addition to this flavor, three additional holiday cold foam alternatives were introduced by Starbucks: Sugar Cookie, Chestnut Praline, and Caramel Brulée.

Starbucks’ new Merry Mint White Mocha is just the beginning of the holiday cheer. This drink is on sale for 50% off today (and every Thursday in December) as part of Starbucks’ new weekly beverage deal, which they’ve affectionately called “ThursYay.” Be advised that this time-sensitive offer is not exclusive to Merry Mint White Mocha.

You can use it on one drink per Rewards member between 12 and 6 p.m., and it covers any drink ordered during that time. This discount can be found on the Starbucks app and can be used at checkout, whether in-store or in the app.

Every weekend during the remainder of December, Starbucks will be offering complimentary cups of hot chocolate with every grande drink, in addition to rolling out festive ThursYays. Only customers who purchase in-store or through the drive-thru will be able to get the hot chocolate in the chain’s short (eight-ounce) format.

This year, Starbucks debuted two new holiday drinks—the Merry Mint Mocha and the Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai—before removing the former. A combination of gingerbread, chai spices, and oat milk creates this fall beverage.

This iced or hot beverage is one of five seasonal offerings that will be available again this year, including Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée, Chestnut Praline, and Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk.
